Mood - Creative One/Multi Page WordPress Theme

Please take the time to read through the instructions and take notice of the instructions listed here, as many support related questions can be answered simply by re-reading these instructions.

1. Installing the theme

To install and set up Mood please follow the video tutorial bellow.

The zip you need to upload to wordpress is mood.zip (found inside the zip you have downloaded).

Method 1: Via The WordPress Dashboard (video tutorial above)

- Unzip the package you downloaded from ThemeForest & inside you will find a folder called main_mood and inside this you will find a file called mood.zip

- Login to your WordPress dashboard and go to Appearance > Themes click on the Install Themes tab and select Upload

- Click the Browse button and find the mood.zip file

- After the theme has successfully uploaded click Activate and you are done!

Method 2: Via FTP

- Unzip the package you downloaded from ThemeForest & inside you will find a folder called main_mood and inside this you will find a file called mood.zip

- Unzip mood.zip

- Login to your web server via FTP and browse to wp-content/themes and upload the mood folder obtained from unziping the arhive above here

- Login to your WordPress dashboard and go to Appearance > Themes the firenze theme will be visible, click Activate and you are done!


2. Plugins Included

Required plugins

- WPBakery Visual Composer - Drag and drop page builder for WordPress. Take full control over your WordPress site, build any layout you can imagine – no programming knowledge required.

Check plugin website for tutorials and know how vc.wpbakery.com

Also check point 4 for aditional Mood options in Visual Composer.

Note! You don't need to activated and purchase Visual Composer because it comes packed with the theme. Every time an important update appears we are going to update the theme.

- mThemes Framework - Create custom meta boxes, custom post type.

- mThemes Core Functions - Core functions for M Themes.

- mThemes Header Slider - Create image slides that can be used in the Header.

Recommended plugins

- Testimonials - Testimonials management plugin for WordPress. Show off what your customers or website users are saying about your business

- Contact Form 7 - Just another contact form plugin. Simple but flexible.


3. Configuration

A. Create a New Menu

- Go to Appearance > Menus on admin sidebar, click Create a new menu or select a menu to edit.
- In Menu Settings >> Choose the Theme locations
- Save Menu

B. (One Page Layout) Create a new page with Visual Composer

You can create pages for static content. To create a new page:

- Go to Pages > Add New
- Enter Page Title
- Click Backend Editor button to build the page via Visual Composer
- Choose the Page Layout - One Page for One Page Layout or Default Template for Multi Page classic layout
- Add content using Visual Composer
- Choose options from the bottom of the page (optional)
- Publish

Note! Remember the Element ID of the Angled Sections (0:45 of the video turorial below) you have created because you will need them for the menu (3:25 of the video turorial below).

C. Create a new Portfolio Item

- Go to Portfolio > Add New
- Enter Portfolio Title
- Add content
- Choose options from the bottom of the page (optional)
- Publish

D. Create a New Post

- Go to Posts > Add New
- Choose the Post Format (Standard, Gallery, Video, Quote, Audio)
- Enter Post Title
- Add content
- Publish

E. Setting up a Page as Homepage

- Go to Settings > Reading > A Static Page
- Choose the page you want to be the homepage
- Save Changes

F. Setting up a Coming Soon Page

- Same as creating a Page
- From the Template page in the right choose Coming Soon Blank Page
- Set the row to strech and align the content to middle
- Add content using Visual Composer
- Add custom image background
- Save Changes


4. Visual Composer Custom Options

Mood brings aditional options to Visual Composer. Check them on section By Mood

Options Included

- Angled Section - Used to build section (Ex: About, Work, etc.) that can be linked to the menu via Element ID (Check tutorial from point B)

- Portfolios - Display Portfolio Projects in 2 ways Masonry and Metro on 3 or 4 columns with filter and Load More projects.

- Post - Display Blog Posts in 2 ways, Large Images and Masonry Layout with filder

- Heading - Display Headings with titles and subtitles.

- Box Icon - Popular use for service, includes icons and text.

- Our Team - Display team members with image, name, position, social networks.

- Progress Bar - Animated progress bars

- Google Maps - Set Google Map with custom pin and coordonates.

- Button - Button with custom link.

- Popup Box - Popup Page with support of HTML code

- Testimonials - Slider with testiomnials from your clients


5. Customizer Options

The main feature of Mood is the Live Customizer which enables you to make many customization to the theme.

Explore it by going to Appearance > Customize

Video Header

Appearance > Customize > Header Media - Upload Video - Supported Up to 4k (be aware of loading time if the video size is too big).

Note! Video Header can be used only on the Page set as Front Page ( Settings > Reading > A static page).

The rest of the options are self-explanatory
